Ok, so it's the end of the month, and we're ready to "giveaway" one of our June how-to's. It may seem early, but us crafters know it's never too early to start thinking about the holidays. So we want to know .... have you started your holiday crafting yet? or maybe you're in the planning stages. Leave a comment telling us what your working on or plan to work on for the coming holidays and we'll have a drawing for a set of six thank you cards made by our very own Kathy.
Drawing will be held on friday ..... good luck!

Every year I make a homemade craft. One year I made tiny stockings to hold forks, knives, and spoons on holiday tables. Another year I made a little clothesline with Santa's clothes hanging out to dry. As this time of year I start planning my craft and thinking about the supplies I'll need and start gathering them. I have narrowed the craft down to a choice between a hula skirt wine bottle cover and a door hanger that would say "HoHoHo."
Each Christmas I make a calendar for the grandparents with pictures of the kids. They claim to love it, so they get a new one every year. However, most of the time I don't get around to making it until November...
Because we were planning to move, but didn't, years of pictures are in storage. If I can get to them, I want to make a scrapbook, of all the years our extended family gathered at Gramma's. Some of the ones who were little, are now grandparents themselves. The scrapbook will go into a gift exchange at the gathering now held at Auntie's.
I haven't started yet, but I have a lot to do. I am sewing a bag for each of the women that I give gifts to. This is my first year sewing, so wish me luck!
Today i received a book in the mail that i had ordered about making wreaths. i have always had a ready-made wreath, that i've embellished w/my own craftiness, but this year, i want to start out from scratch, making a front door Xmas wreath. i love the hollydays; everything about them!
I gather my own lavender during the summer months and cut and dry it. Then I stamp on little purple sheer bags a picture of some lavender. I fill it up with the lavender and add a little bit of scent and give the sachets to people with my homemade soap. I also stamp the tag for the little bags. It makes a cute gift. So the lavender is drying. Love that stationary.

I'm thinking of getting some holiday cards made. I have a lot of holiday stamps and a good assortment of Spellbinders Nestabilities, as well as a lot of punches. Should be able to get some designs worked out with all that!
I also bought a styrofoam Christmas tree shape and plan to cover it with scrapbook papers.

I'm looking forward to scrapbooking the Sonoma 4th of July parade.
I didn't mean to sign on anonymously. Sorry about that! Still looking forward to scrapping the coming week-end.
For Christmas I always make somethng for my two adult children that reminds of something we would do when they were growing up. It was usually something made by needle and yarn but since Beverly's many choices of different types of crafts those gifts have come far. Scrapbooking is one of the crafts I have self taught myself about. This last year my son received an album with many years of memories. I really enjoy Beverly's different possiblities for crafts ideas. But I must admit to missing the vast types of yardage available out there that are not represented at Beverly's. I really hate traveling so far to buy yardage that has nothing to do with quilting. But it doesn't stop me from visiting the local store weekly. Thank you for still being in the area. Linda...
I have been charged with making a scrapbook for our new American Legion Post President. It will be a challenge for me, but hopefully she will be pleased with it when I am done.(hers took 1st place in Calif. @ the convention) Along with that, I am hoping to making some Christmas Cards this year. I usually only get one or two done, but this hear I am shooting for more. With the help of all the wonderful people at Beverly's, I am sure I will find what I need.
I'm just starting to plan. I have ben "collecting" Christmas themed fabrics for some time and want it all done before Thanksgiving so I can enjoy the holiday. Thanks for letting me enter.

Oh, these are so cute! Very girly. My holiday cards this year will be baby announcements of the arrival of our soon to be born baby girl! Love the "thank you" notes!
Each year I host a Christmas gathering for my husband and his staff. I like to have a big basket by the front door with a special treat inside to hand to everyone as they leave. Of course, special paper, stamps, embossing powder, etc. are ALWAYS involved!!! This year I'd like to incorporate some "nestabilities" shapes into my packaging!!! You know... it's all in the presentation! By the way Kathy,I LOVE the cards!!! Like Shannon said "very girly"! :)
I am currently working on newborn baby's hats AND (have to have several projects going at once) (?) crocheted slippers...from a pattern that I recently bought at your Santa Maria store. thx for the opportunity to enter your contest.
